SDRS Consulting Rosarians

The following SDRS and ARS members earned the designation of Consulting Rosarian by attending a seminar and passing a comprehensive test on rose culture. These members chose to become Consulting Rosarians to assist you with rose growing by answering questions and doing garden consultations when needed. They are all experienced and knowledgeable rose growers and are happy to help you grow more beautiful roses. Give one a call or send them an e-mail message. In 2005 the American Rose Society created a new Master Rosarian designation. Master Rosarians are indicated below by an asterisk (*).

Qualifications to be a Master Rosarian

The Master Rosarian designation was created to recognize those CRs who have made outstanding contributions as CRs over a significant period of time. The Master Rosarian is a Consulting Rosarian who (1) exemplifies knowledge of roses and their culture, (2) shows a strong and demonstrated willingness to share this knowledge with other rosarians and the general public, (3) provides an example of outstanding service to the local rose society and the ARS, and (4) is a model of the ethical behavior exemplified in the CR program. The achievement of the Master Rosarian designation by a CR is intended to recognize these outstanding volunteers and to motivate other CRs to the same degree of excellence. The basic requirements are a minimum of 10 years as a CR, outstanding performance, being an active CR at the time of nomination, and having a willingness to continue to serve.
